Fed Cup: Great Britain continue winning ways in Estonia

Great Britain have built on their impressive showing against Portugal yesterday in the Fed Cup to complete another 3-0 win against Latvia today.

Heather Watson started the day well with a straight sets 6-3 6-0 victory over Diana Marcinkevica, before Johanna Konta once again sealed the deal in the tie, defeating World No.35 Jelena Ostapenko 6-2 6-3. Jocelyn Rae and Laura Robson had a slightly tougher time of it in the doubles dead rubber, but eventually saw off Daniela Vismane and Marcinkevica 6-0 6-7 (2-7) 6-2.

The victory means Great Britain top their group going into tomorrow’s match against Turkey, with victory guaranteeing their progression to the play-off against the winners of Group B on Saturday.

Here’s skipper Anne Keothavong’s take on the day’s action.
