Video: Bird blunders into Monte Carlo match

Think you’re having a bad day? Well, spare a thought for the poor ballboy who had to repeatedly shoo away a recalcitrant pigeon – all under the annoyed gaze of living-legend Rafael Nadal. Catching up on your emails suddenly doesn’t seem so bad now, does it?

The feathered intruder made its entrance during the crucial third set of yesterday’s Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters tie between Rafael Nadal and Britain’s Kyle Edmund, who won the second set. Unfortunately for Edmund, it wasn’t an omen of good luck as the Spaniard went on to edge the match 6-0 5-7 6-3. Here’s hoping the ballboy doesn’t watch Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines anytime soon.
