This site exists for two reasons: first, to equip people with the information they need to become better tennis players. Second, to inspire people to want to become better players. It’s as simple as that.
To start with we’ll be picking out the best coaching videos, but longer term we aim to interview the amazing players – especially the British talent that’s breaking into the top 100. If Andy Murray wanted to give us an interview, we probably wouldn’t say no.
At the moment, it’s just a two-man site. I’m the editor-in-chief of PC Pro, a technology magazine, and owner of one of the worst backhands you’ll ever see.
Actually, that’s not true. My backhand went from pathetic to reasonable thanks to some coaching, and I believe that anyone with decent hand-to-eye co-ordination can play competitively (if they so wish). I’m not a fan of patting it back over the net; that’s not what tennis is for.
See reasons one and two.
So, enjoy the site as it grows, and let me know what you think in the comments.
