Highlights: Johanna Konta through to fourth round of the Miami Open

British No.1 Johanna Konta turned on the style against Pauline Parmentier of France in the Miami Open, winning the tie 6-4 6-0 under the Florida sun.

The victory, which took just 63 minutes, means Konta is through to the last sixteen, where she will face Spain’s Lara Arruabarrena.

Konta has found maintaining a decent run of form difficult since her excellent run at the Australian Open earlier this year (her tricky opening match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich lasted two hours and 40 minutes) so the win will be a very welcome boost.

“I’m happy to have come through that,” she admitted after the match. “Although the scoreline doesn’t show it in the second set, I still had to work hard within every single point. I really tried hard not to take my foot off the gas and stay focused on what I wanted to achieve.”
